Hydraulic vs solid lifters...difference?

I know the basic difference between the two. Is there a visual difference between the two? I just pulled my cam and lifters yesterday and my lifters look like solid lifters...but I'm unsure.

Anyone have pictures?

My rocker is non-adjustable (since it has no bolts on the rockers) so I'm supposed to have hydraulic lifters right?

Thanks for the help.

If you have a non-adjustbale rocker assembly, then you have hydraulic lifters. Unless someone swapped in a non-adjustable rocker shaft on a solid lifter cam which I don't think would have worked at all.

Right...but I want to know what I have in there. Do you know what solid ones look like when compared to hydraulics?

Thanks.

Heh Cobrasix, the hydraulic lifters will have a internal snap ring on the top holding the insides together, the solids will be just that on the top.
