What would happen if I put a 144/170 headgasket on a 200.

I have a mystery overheating problem with my 200. Both headgaskets I have used I bought on ebay, and I can't garuntee they were the right ones.

Just occured to me... Im not sure how different they are.

Get a head gasket from a parts store or something. =D I don't know the difference, but there must be some difference, as when we were talking about the metal shim headgaskets, they were saying you can't use the 144/170 shims on a 200. What's happening when your car overheats? New radiator? How many rows? Electric fan/stock fan?

ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY THOU to small.

I'd over heat and burn the gasket. The 144 has a 3.5" bore and the 200 has a 3.68" bore. A lot of difference!

Other than the bore size is there any differnce in any of the holes? Any missing or sized differnt?

Well, that doesn't sound likely then. .180 is a grip and I think I would have noticed that when putting it together. I also don't think it would run as well as it mostly does.
