i emailed ausfordparts to see if they had a head in stock and got a confirmation. i then paypal'd the money to them. i then emailed them the paypal information. i then waited....

and waited....

so i emailed them asking about the status. no reply.

i finally emailed them saying that if they weren't going to reply to my emails that i was going to contact paypal to try to get my money back. i was really just hoping for an email back and really really hoping that they were sending me a head/intake. i never did get an email back from them but i did get an email from paypal saying that my money was refunded.

does anyone have any idea when classicinlines is gonna have the modified cast iron heads available?

That totally BLOWS! Why don't you just save up a little more $$$ and get the Alum. head from CI? By the time you put all that money into the Assie rebuild you would be putting pretty close to the amount for the CI head from what I have heard!

i'm building this for a 70 bronco so i don't really need to go crazy on it. i guess i can try to track down a d7 casting and do the direct 2v adapter on it.

Yea, from what I have read it's the best next thing to do if the other two options are out! Especally when it come to the price difference it will cost you! From what I read theres a good number of members that are running that head and seem to be happy with it. I'm sure that they will get on here because they know more about it then me! :D

Hi,

New to the forum. I almost ordered the head through Ausford, but called first instead. I got hold of Lawerence who said they are out of stock and would call back when they got one. I did look at ebayaus and found a couple heads.....shipping was a beart though. I think I'll either break down and do a new one, or just mill the existing log for a 2v.

not really sure if this would be much of an interest to you but i have a 1967 head that just came off my mustang that i would like to get rid of...

JoeJoe44, what's the deal with the head? How many miles on it? What work has or hasn't been done to it etc...?

Well its a '67 head that came off my '68 200 mustang. I got a '78 head to replace it. Nothing has been done to it. I still have the valves, springs, and etc.
