hello all,
well i just encountered a problem with my six...for some reason its now starting to stall...it only wants to stall when im am at a stop and the engine is fully warmed up...to get around now i have to keep my foot slightly on the gas so that the car doesnt stall out while on the brake...grrr...i have also noticed that it is starting to under heat...it used to stay perfectly at 180 and now it warms up and goes to about 185 and then once its relaly warmed up drops to 176-178 where it gives me the stall problem...do you guys think that it is the thermostat??? thats what i trouble shooted too...what can it be??? i dont remember a wicked backfire about a week or two ago that might have started this problem...any ideas or wisdom are greatly appreciated...

8) i assume the temps you have given are from an accurate temp gauge? as for the stalling, when was the last time you changed plugs? or points? perhaps all you need is to up the idle speed a bit. or the idle mix is a bit lean.start by checking these areas first.

Hi 66 tang stang,

Sounds like tune-up time. Be sure to check the choke operation. Is your Pertronix getting 12 volts?
