Ign Rotor not fitting

Has anyone else had a problem with replacement rotors fitting poorly on the shaft? (Loose) I have tried 3 different manufacturers rotor with the same problem. All of them appear to be made identically and (in another country of course) and do not fit right. 57 223 OEM distributor

hey try one for a newer 223. maybe the shafts are different size because of the different oil pump drive end. maybe someone swapped in a 64 or newer oil pump and distributor. .just tryin to help.

I am missing the rotor clip, The old rotor fit well enough on the shaft that I didnt think to look at a diagram of the distributor assembly. Sac Vintage is out. Anyone know if the one for an 8n tractor will work?

Yes, an 8N rotor clip/retainer will work.
I think all Ford rotor clips are the same.
