Ignition-- distributor and msd box

hey guys i am rebuilding my 67 200 block / 68 250 head and am looking for ignition stuff, i found an electronic distrubutor for a later 200 - 250 like 70's i think... The Ford part number is D9BZ 12127-CU. And also what msd box can i use that will be simple, and reliable? Thanks, Josh

yeah, sounds like you have a 79 DS2.

Any MSD 6 system will work, like MSD 6, MSD 6A, MSD 6AL, and MSD Digital 6+.

It really matters what capabilities you want, and how much you want to pay.

MSD 6A is a good base unit that gives you multiple sparks. $150

MSD 6AL gives you multiple sparks and built insingle rev control via plug in chips. $200

MSD Digital 6+ gives you multiple sparks, more energy per spark, built in dual stage rev limiter via dials, not plug ins. $280

So it really depends what you want,, and how deep the pockets are.

just to double check....that electronic distributor ford part number D9BZ 12127-CU will work in my 67 200 block? Also this will be my first time swapping ignition stuff like this...does the plug from the ford distributor clip into the msd plug or are adapters needed?
