the only thing i now is that you must ad a differend seal for a diesel turbo . i got a turbo from a BMW 5 serie 3 liter diesel ! also a air research turbo.
Diesel turbos can produce alot more boost. You are gonna have alot of turbo lag with one of those, and then you will run the risk of cannonballing your motor or turbo if you turn the boost up too high. I believe. I could be wrong.
I take it that your looking at a turbo. I can't get into E-bay over here in Iraq. Good thing too, the wife would start getting car parts showing up at the house.
When looking into turbos you should try to get a compressor map for that turbo. It will give you the air flow numbers and boost numbers it will beable to produce. Once you figure out how much CFM of air you'll need to make say 15Lbs of boost then you'll look for that point on the compressor map. As for seals in the turbo for diesel if your doing a blow thruw set up you won't need to worry about it. The possitive presure in the compressor housing keeps oil from leaking into it. But if your doing a draw thruw having a possitive seal on the compressor side is a must. At idle and during decel the vacume is high and will suck the oil from the bearing section. Hope this helps. I got a turbo off of ebay about 2 years ago an it was for a deisel. Havent put it on anything yet. Later.
