I was looking for a used OZ-250 for the heck of it to see what I could find, I see one guy who is selling "Used Aussie Ford 250 cross flow cylinder head with valve train. Can be adapted to fit USA Ford 6 cylinder for significant increase in horsepower." Is this the OZ-250 with different terminology or a completely seperate head completely...thanks

separate head. Ther is a oz crossflow and the OZ 250, which is the one you are looking for

Whichever would work with the least amount of fabbing. It was $100 and worth a shot.

$100?
umm....

where'd you find this? do you have pictures?

it might still be usable, if nothing else but to buy it and sell it elsewhere for more money
but the fact that it's $100 is a bit weird to me... would make me wary

The crossflow will not fit a US block without much fabrication. OZ crossflow blocks were wider than the US blocks and that creates some challenges. Check out the crossflow chronicles for more details. Jack was working on a modification to a domestic block allowing a crossflow head to be used, but I don't recall the current status of that effort.

If you buy that head for $100, it'll be a nice door weight unless you have an "in" with a machinist.
