I recently had my carb off and it has a 57 jet in it I’ve read that the lowest is 65 what’s going on? It runs very well so it is some what of a surprise

What size venturi and what fuel?
I have been tuning with an AFR gauge on a totally stock 68 200 with an 74 large log head and have a 63 jet now and it’s still slightly rich. I have 1.20 Venturi and gas is 89 octane 10% corn.

good to see your attention to optimum tuning with the 200/1100 , 'if obsessed, AFR gauge takes the 'surprise' out of tuning ...
.
have fun

What is your altitude?

There are more jets available than what the book says. Someone made the same comment about a big jet in a YF carb. On most carbs (I don't know about the 1100 hands-on) jets for other carbs by the same manufacturer will fit correctly in other model carbs. The YF (for example) is a Carter 1 barrel, but the jets for the 4 barrel, now made by Edelbrock, work correctly in the YF.
