just about ready to fire it with questions & w/pic

HI ALL
Finaly I'm almost ready to start it.. just need
1) radiator : rodded, hoses and install it
2) battery : install and cables, starter cable
3) dizzy : hook up module wires from switch and to coil
4) check TDC and fireing order
5) oil prime it.
QUESTIONS
1) which way do I turn the oil pump
2) I used the old 64 1/2 adjustable rocker assembly, I didn't take it apart to clean it... I'm a little worred that it might be pluged.... If I take the valve cover off can I watch for oil to come out of the shaft by the rockers while I prim it??? and should there be alot or a little??
To drive it I have left
1) hook up shift linkage
2) hook up clutch rod (had to make a longer one)
3) exhaust system
4) have drive line fitted
and I'm OFF.

The dizzy turns clockwise. If you look at the vac adv, when it pulls it advances the timing so, the shaft turns away from it.

Yes you should be able to see oil at the top of the motor.
