well i decided to just get the single outlet header from pacemaker...dont have it yet..but i'm getting it in a month or 2 after i upgrade my head and get a 2bbl carb and all that (so about 3 cheques)..

right now i just have a straight pipe...no mufflers..sounds cool, but after 3 days of it i think its too much noise (especially for 7:30 in the morning in the city...although its not so loud that everyone is gonna complain) but i am getting sick of it. I want to buy my mufflers with my next cheque so I'm planning this now as thats only a week away. I want a single to dual muffler which will go at the end and be finished with chrome tubes....the biggest thing is the resonation...will having a glass pack before the muffler reduce the resonation and still have a decent sound even on the single exhaust...it should still sound slightly better than straight single as it goes to dual...but not too much different i guess. I was thinking maybe a flowmaster single to dual (should i go 2" or 2-1/4" pipe?) and just a cherry bomb before that if it will help. Any suggestions for a good sounding single exhaust? will this sound good and not too loud (as apposed to straight pipe) thanks for your help

One thing you can do (it was done to mine) Is have the exhuast pipe bend across down to the drivers side (after it coems down from the header) then have it go straight down til u get behind the wheel, then have it bend to run behind the gas tank (if its in the back) [and have a flow master exhaust there] all the way so it should be at at the passengers back weheel then from there have it run towards the back of your car.
That's how mine went, it sounded really good (a nice loudness, nice idle) ... adding a glasspack really makes the resonation in the car loud (i just put a cherry bomb on my single outlet, i like the outside sound, not the inside [most of the time]) hehee

my muffler has to be on the passenger side because the gas tank is in the way so thats gonna happen anyways....i did have a glass pack, it was right under the drivers seat...I wasnt too keen on the sound, but i never had any pipe after that, lol...so it got extremely annoying and i though it was somewhat ricey sounding...i have had a bunch of compliments on the sound of the straight pipe already...except for the slight miss i have, although thats only when i'm either cold or idleing since i idle at about 450 RPM in gear. i really dont want the same annoying resonation i have now or had with the glass pack...but if adding the extra pipe and another muffler will lessen the resonation a fair bit then i will certainly consider it.
