Ok I'll be 41... And you might wanna watch the langauge...

I think the carbs you're thinking of are Autolite 2100's, or their later versions the Motorcraft 2150...

You may see some Holley 2300's in the j/y, but more than likely they are stock replacement carbs that may have undesireable metering for performance... I've even run across a few Holley 'Economizer' carbs in the j/y... they were made in the 70's to try to increase mileage figures... they are not performance oriented.. they have funky boosters in them which actually reduced their flow (cfm) a tad... and they have 2 stage power valves which are not for performance use... they say those are good for RV's and such.

The 2100 is a good carb to use as well, just not as tunable.. .jets are not as easily attainable as they are for Holleys... but believe it or not they can use Holley power valves... The 2150 is basically the same thing with more vacuum hookups for smog and such, and an added choke pull-off (or kick off the way it works) in the air horn... I think they started using the 2150 in the early 70's... my old '73 Mach 1 had a 2150 on it originally..

2100's on the 289's and 302's with the 1.08 venturi (it's stamped on the side of the carb) IIRC are just under 300 cfm.. they're about 287

Oh, and they do use the same bolt (flange or base) pattern as the Holley 2300.
