The 3.8 came in for 1982, so 3.3 GT would have been an pre 3.8 variant.Remember, the 200 got dropped in because Ford of Germany defaulted on delivery of the tripple port Cologne 2.8's because of ballistic deamand from the Capri Injection, Granada 2.8i, and Taunus 2.3's. The plant was unable to keep up, so the Windsor Ontario plant in Canada re-diverted production to the Fox body Mustang.
The pre-Aero T-bird got 200's, and 200's were seen in some 1983 Areo-Birds too. The Aero LTD got 3.8's.
From what I've read, the 250 saw the last light of day in 1979, with the last of the pre-Fox Granadas. Canadians loved the Granada line, apparently, and big 351's stayed on board well past the 302 only edict for the CAFE average fuel consumptions. I'm not certian, but the 250 could have lived on in Canuck territory for a few more years than in the US. None of the Foxes got 250's because the hood slope, especially on Mustangs, was too severe. As Jack has proved, the 250 does fit in a Fox Stang, but the stock air cleaner on the 250 would have got mighty close to taking the hood out!
Hope this helps.
(It comes from the Consumer Guide 75 th Aniversary book on Ford, 1908 to 1983. It is a darling book of mine, a cherished friend and got me through childhood after Ford Australia dropped the Cleveland 302 and 351's in 1983. I was that close to becoming an RX-7 fan after that. But I digress...again. I'm still suffering trauma....)
