Not sure what is a good price to pay for a head off a late 70's 250 head. It will have the rockers with it.

Thanks Brian

'77 plus? 4 get it, availability is my problem.
Actually it should depend on the condition. U don't want anything less than usuable.

I'd like to hear the same answer.
I'd say the range could be from 50 - 100 $ (no machining done @ that point). Expect to pay on 50# of shipping if any distance away...

What can others say (let's all preuse e-bay....

Pretty much for stock I6 parts, you're going to pay what you can. I payed about $250 for a machined/rebuilt head and shipping about 5 years ago. For one without any work done? I would see what the guy asks, I probably wouldn't pay more than $100

Thanks I know where I can get one for 50.00 plus shipping not sure how much shipping is yet. It has no work done to it.

I would likely go for it.
Where abouts is it?

I was quoted about $35 for freight for an exhaust manifold for my truck the other day, I would probably expect $50 or so.

If it's in good shape, U don't want it, send me the numbers off it, and a price.
In my area they send anything over 10 y/o to the crusher...

Will do I will pm if I do not do it with the guys info.

it'll run about $50 to ship via Fedex if they have an discount account.

It's say anywhere from free to $50 for one that needs to be rebuilt (essentially scrap metal price). $250 for a rebuilt log head.

$250 for a rebuilt log head

I thought the machining would be twice that, then $50 -100 for the head it's self?
May B that's just for the wrk in my part of the state?
/OR/
price reduced due to being done to "some 1 else's specs" also of "unknown quality"?
