Load-0-matic issue

Guys..

I have a 66 bronco with a 170 using the loadomatic distributer/carb

The truck ran poorly so I rebuit the carb(leaking fuel problem) and gave it a complete tune up.

The truck ran fine for a while and after fiddling with things I isolated the problem

There was a small crack in the vacume line from the distributer. The crack was on the flare past the brass nut. I attempted to repair the line but the flare end was not a standard brake line flare but more like a cone shape. If the line moves slightly(usually from hitting a dip in the road or pothole) a vacume leak occurs which makes the truck run roughly

I tried to locate a new line(went to a few hose shops) and found out this is not a standard fitting

So where do I find the proper line and fittings and secondly how do I flare the line with the odd cone shape flare so it seats in the distributer properly?

If I were you I would cut the line, put a nipple on the end of the distributor, and run a couple of inches of rubber hose. Well... that's not entirely true, if I were you I'd swap a 200 in there and put a duraspark ignition in it! Hah! But honestly, find a brass nipple that will screw into the distributor's vacuum canister, and add a little bit of rubber hose to the steel line. It'll work like a charm. Don't use too much hose though, it has a chance of collapsing under the vacuum. =)
