ive decided to use the 264 dual pattern cam from classicinlines.com
the mild motor i plan to build will be backed by a AOD tranny and i was wondering if a 108 lobe center will make my mpg hit rock bottom

i read that with a 108 lobe center an inline could beat a V8 off the line

Mike (Classic Inlines) will recommend a 112* LC for an automatic transmission.

You could get away with a 110lc. However unless you have a high stall convereter and short gears yourcar will want to stall at the stop light. Its good if you have a manual tranny where its in nuetral. Your low end will be good but your top end wont be very good.

well my main goal is to have a little bit of both but enough at the low end to eat hondas off the line. i think the 112 will give me what i am looking for plus i like a smooth idle.

i dont want to sacrifice too much low end torque
