does anyone know where i can find a offy tri intake adapter.. or any other kind of tri intake adapter. i am sorry for asking so many ?'s but i am really courious.. thanks for everything

Does anybody know what carb would be good for this intake?

I'm using Autolite 1100s, but it requires some minor engineering for the throttle return springs. I think the intake adaptor kit was made for Weber (either 32 or 34, can't remember) but any carb will work.

With the offy setup do you need to have the head off to install and drill the holes or could you install it later after the head is back on?

I was looking under the hood of my '65 today, dreaming of how nice that offy would look, when I realized "My ac compressor is right in the way!"
Am I correct on this? And if I am, has anyone done this with the ac?

Luke,

The AC compressor shouldn't be in the way...do you have a picture so I can see in and I can compare to my current set up.

The only real problem with the 65's is hood clearance on the front carb.

thanks for all the replys.. the only ? is what kind of problems with it all fitting under the hood will i have.. i mean. what will i have to do to get it all to fit?

could if fit the clifford carb adapter on this if clearance would allow, if i cannot mout a 2 bbl carb right up.

You would have to have some serious hood clearance...I barely had enough room with a 1V...the 2V with an Adaptor...Don't think it will work, at least on early mustangs (65-67).

I have an 3 1 bbl Offy intake and carbs for the older round style intake make me an offer.

I acutally have a later model offy intake with all the hardware in my garage. I bought it from someone else who was going to install it and changed their mind. I went with the aussie head instead. If you want it you can have it for 50 bucks plus shipping(I paid 150). I also have three carbs to go with it, but they definitely need cleaning and probably rebuilding. I currently live in Birmingham AL.

From what I understand there are two offy 3x1 intakes. One for the earlier models and one for later. I have the one for later models, but I am not sure what year the intake changed. I am sure someone on this forum could tell us. I have the adapter, all the carburator linkages, and three carbs to go with it.
