Hi, Im on the lookout for anyone who may have a set of 14in Fairmont Rims. Been looking fro some time now but no cigar.

I thought you'd found some but didn't want to pay the asking.

Have you tried Danny at "Early Bird" in Thomastown?

Nah still looking, thought I would give it a bit of time before trying again. I tried Early Bird a month or two back, he didn't have any at the time, but it would hurt trying again.

Thanks
Ash

Well I don't know wht they're going for these days, but around the $300 mark, depending on condition of course.

Thanks

You could try Murphy's Law - buy three and a full set of five will appear.

Also give Deon Cameron (Narrabri) and Honest John (Newie) a call.

Please remember that these wheels are all 40 years old. I have restored old rims, and generally I would say it's not worth the bother (up to 12 hours per wheel). Typically, they corrode on the inside edge of the rim and won't hold air. Get five good centres, have Morton & May stitch 15" conversion outers on them, with a sandblast and powdercoat. You get a beaut range of contemporary tyre choices then, no rust or damage on the rim and 4-stud wheels.

When you add up all the costs, you can see importing a period-correct set of Westerns is a pretty good option.

Sorry to be a pain in the rear but would you have a contact number for these two guys.

Thanks

John's 0412 327 489.

Can't remember Deon's off the top of my head. I'll email him and ask anyhow.

you could try fishop falcons in adelaide, they are pretty good
