What else do I have to do besides put a header and flowmaster 40 series on my 200 to make it sound "like" a V8

all i have is a dual out pacemaker header, dual flowmaster 40series delta flows, 2 inch pipe, and a K&N and no one guesses my car is a 6

Matt, I take my mustang to the muffler shop this week to install a flowmaster hushpower II dual muffler system. The headers are hookers to a 2" x pipe then to the hushmasters. I wanted a slightly quieter system than the 40 series delta flow.
I will let the forum know. Thanks William

Hmm....you want a V8 rumble without using headers and flows...hmmm...all I can come up with is to put a V8 in...with headers and flows  Just messin, Pay for the headers and then put whatever muffler you want on there, but I gaurentee the flows will knock your socks off. Its not only worth it sound wise, but you will pick up some power as well and set yourself up for other mods if you plan to do any

I have heard many sound recordings of different exhausts and NOTHING compares to the flows. The recording above is exactly what mine sounded like. If you want the roar, flowmasters will help combined with a dual out header, TRUST me, its the way to go. Leaving the stock manifold doesnt sound half as meaty as the headers do.

It doesn't hurt to have some additional add-ons like a lumpy cam.

I can't wait till i get my car back from the muffler shop after installing the hushpower II mufflers from flowmaster. I hope the decibel level will be somewhat less than the 40 series delta flow.
The 40 series series mufflers sounded great, but i wanted a quieter system. i will find out later this week. william
