has anyone put LPG on lately, how much are people asking lately?? i know about the 2k rebate but its the initial cash im looking at

Just got this done recently in SA. I bought my own system from another car and parts from a wrecking yard, which cost about $300-400. Installation was then another $770 on top of that, so total cost for mine was about the $1000 mark. I ended up gaining huge amounts of power compared to petrol, and it isn't even tuned yet. On top of that, I effectively made $1000 :D By the way, my rebate cheque was sorted in 2 weeks.

Ask Richard. He's just about to do another conversion, getting Mrs Fingers' car switched over.

FINALLY!!!!! after months and months and months of banging my head against the wall and people not wanting to fit my LPG stuff, i have finally found a local mechanic certified to fit the LPG and who also has no concerns with the motor being turbo!

Really easy goin bloke and very honest about everything and is also allowing me to fit stuff like the T/B, converter and tank to save time and cash so, huge huge score with all that and all for under $1000, so with the 2k rebate, free LPG conversion and extra money in my pocket! if u cant tell, yes, im STOKED!!!!

p.s sorry addo, guess my LPG stuff is off the market

Wow, you did well! Its hard to find mechanics that will work with modified cars without charging you a fortune. With any luck, he does a good job. I'll be interested to hear how the tuning process goes for the setup, as I am looking at doing something similar down the line a bit. By the way, what mixer are you using? Even better, once the LPG is on, you may be able to tune for more boost!

the mechanic said he has no worries with me installing the gas research TB, the converter where i want it and putting the tank in the boot, so all he has to do is run the fuel lines, wire it all up and certify it. Even that shouldnt cost much at all!

I have Gas researches forced induction tuning guide here which i told him about and he said he will do his best but he doesnt have a dyno but said he can atleast get the car/engine happy enuf to drive around on and then get to a dyno for a proper tune.

For now the wastegate is setup for 10psi, and with a little luck that should get me about 200rwkw but the torque should be insane and be up towards the 900nm mark (compared to other xflow turbos i know about running same boost but on PULP fuel) so looking forward to it all and now just gotta get the thing painted so i can get the excitement happening!
