Right. I have 200/6 pulled from a 67 Mustang in my '62 Falcon. A few months back I installed a replacement carb identical to the old one (except that this one works). It's just the single barrel Autolite/Motorcraft stock carb from a later model 200. I saw an identical one on a 1970 Ford...

Also installed at the time was an automatic choke, complete with a heat pipe that snuggled into an opening on the exhaust manifold. Now that I just installed my Pacemakers that don't have such a hole, I find that my automatic choke is really irritating to use.

Honestly, I would much rather use a manual choke. I still have the cable attached through the firewall, but there seems to be missing linkage to fit it to the carb. Does anyone know of a kit that I can hook it up with?

Thanks for listening.

A converted auto choke to manual never works as good as an original manual choke. What you can do is get some small flexible copper tubing to extend your auto choke heat riser tube so you can wrap the copper tube around one of the header tubes. Pinch off the lower end of the tube so very little air will get sucked into it.

There are kits you can get to convert from an automatic to a manual choke. I think that they're in the Summit catalog, but NAPA & Autozone both carry them as well. Sure you can find them elsewhere. The NAPA # for the truck (longer cable is all) is 732-1153, don't have the # for the kit intended for a car on hand though. I have them installed on my '65 falcon & '84 F150.
