Clifford sells an adapter that mounts to the stock log, no other modifications to the log is necessary. You can also mount the 2bbl carb directly to the log but you'll have to fabricate your own adapter plate and shave off the carb pad. Mustang_geezer's website has photos of a direct mount 2bbl.

A direct mount requires removing the head and taking it to a machinist that has a small mill.

I have an adaptor for this carb to the small 1.5 in intake hole and bolt pattern. Would prefer to sell it with the carb but may be willing to part the set- PM me if interested.
