Would a single chamber flow master be good for performance and loudness?

Thanks Matt

Hey Matt
Single chamber Flowmaster mufflers are really only for race cars that run where mufflers are required for noise control. I would use them on a strip only car, or a show car that you drag race too. They are not for the street. The noise level would get annoying after a while, and I like a rumbly exhaust note. I would recommend two chamber if you are going to run cats and three chamber if you don't run cats. Just run a larger diameter exhaust tube size, if you are worried about restriction. I currently run a full 3" single exhaust system on my '93 3.3 liter Dodge Caravan. It has a Products for Power 3" in/out cat and a three chamber Flowmaster 40 series center in/out. The pipe exits in front of the passenger side rear tire. I really like the Walker Dynomax muffler sound too.
