Multi-carb recommendations

I have a 65 Mustang with fairly stock 1978 200 in it, a 3 speed manual, and 2.8:1 rear gear. About the only upgrades are a Pacemaker header and Pertronix distributor cap module. I am considering either: (1) Adding a HW 5200 with Clifford adapter; or (2) Adding the Offenhauser triple carb manifold with three-one barrels. Not taking into account the cost, which would give me better results? The Offenhauser manifold looks pretty interesting, but I prefer substance over looks. Thanks in advance for any opinions and/or advice.

My experience with the HW is that it really helped drivability a lot. If you look at the dyno runs you will see it's not so hot for horsepower. I think the carb is a much better match for a 1.5 - 2 liter engine.

I definitely recommend the multi-carb setup, but I like pain...

But for substance over looks, I'd go for a direct mount 2 bbl.

Have fun,

I like the triple webers but I would also recommend the direct mount 2 bbl. to get all of the benefit out of the tri power you need a performance cam and port work on the head . if your budget allows i would look at the CI aluminum head also.
