Let's see, where do I start?
Ever since I've had my Bronco it's had a 200 with the same carb and distro on it. Never had a problem, fired right up every time. Here's the carb, http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2011/245 ... a8.jpg?v=0. And here's the distro, http://www.flickr.com/photos/17286375@N ... hotostream. I think the distro is a load-o-matic, but not sure. Please identify these if you know what they are.
Well the problem started when I installed a carter yf in place of the existing carb. It would ran fine for a little while, then staring running hot and running badly. It bogs under any load.
So, I think the problem is mixing the LOM with the carter, which won't work due to since it lacks some type of valve.
What do I need to do? Can I just buy a regular points dist. and run it with either carb or does my original carb require the LOM? At this point I'm ready to just buy a DUI and be done with it. To be honest I'm not even sure that will work. Please, give me some insight to get this resolved.
