Mike,

Was there 'spose to be a picture or link in your message?

It looks like you've got a good solid engine to tinker with. Since you kept the stock cam during your rebuild, pick a carb to match.

I'd recommend the Holley/Weber two barrel. It works like half of a four barrel carb. One of the barrels opens to about 60% of wide open before the second barrel even starts to open. They both hit wide open throttle at the same point. Four barrels ALL have this "progressive" linkage too.

Two things happen with this progressive linkage. Since only the primary opens until you punch it to the floor, you get better throttle response AND better gas mileage.

Throttle response is that the engine picks up rpms smartly. It doesn't bog. Since America is thouroughly into "Bigger is better" (you know - the Brittanny Spears big) you'll have to control your urges to slap on a 1000 cfm double pumper big honking carb.

Search the Archives for the Inliner adapter and carb. Clifford makes a H/W setup too, but it costs MUCH more.

Good Luck

Since you didn't tell us what you were looking at, I'm not sure, but based on what you have, I'm with Hot 6t Falcon - I would got with a Holley 5200 or a Weber 32/36 - they are both the exact same carb, just one made by weber, and one by holley, so it comes down to which one you can find the easiest. I have the Weber 32/36 on my 65 stang - go check it out at my website (link is in my signature below)
