I have a set of XP disc rotors Im trying get off but the buggers won't move.
I'm trying to replace with a new set of ventilated ones but it won't be happening until I turn into the hulk.

Ash,
What are you trying to do?
Remove the discs from the stub axles or separate the stub axles from the ball joints?
A trick to both of them.
Noel

Firstly I should have put the Brake Assembly is off the Car
I've got the Disc's off the Stub Axles, Removed the calipers but there is a backing plate inside the back off the rotors with 4 bolts. These little blitters just won't move and I suppose for a reason.

Thanks

Ash

they should come off fairly easy.get a socket that fits properly (if they are rounded off just hammer on the next sized down socket with a hammer and make sure its on straight).put a breaker bar onto the socket (not the rachet, the breaker bar is the 1 that dosn't move) then slide a piece of 1metre steel pipe or 1"x1" box steel over the breaker bar and turn slowly.this should get them easy.might pay to spray them with rp7/wd40 before you try this.hope this helps ya

I used impact to break mine. Lump hammer, Sidchrome socket set (because of the lifetime warranty  ). Be sure that the socket is "square" to the bolt head.

BTW, you'll need XP 14" Steelies. Early Mustang 14's don't fit the discs as they are a "conversion" rim. This means the centre is off a 13" wheel, and the rim is stepped down more in the centre band to meet the smaller inside.

Adam.

Thankyou all for your assistance. Will break out the BIG hammer on the weekend an give it ago.

And yes I do have the Wheels from an XP (with disc's) as well, not easy to find but worth the while.

Thanks again
Ash
