neutal saftey switch

Guys I am in the process of pulling the auto out and throwing ina 3 speed. My question is how do i wire this thing so that the saftey switch will allow the car to start?

Run a jumper at the firewall connection , or down at the switch , keep in mind there are backup lights in that as well
