it took awhile but was worth it it runs good after a little tuning i might need bigger jets though from what the tuning sheet told me.

i bought the weber kit dgev from classic inlines. i have a question while were on the carb subject, it will run fine and all but when i shut the car off it will kind of spudder for a second it never used to do that any ideas on what it could be or be concerned about it? and its hooked up straight to the stock fuel pump (5-7lbs) it came with a 3 lbs fuel regulater should i put that regulater on or just keep it how it is?

From my VW day's, I can say Webers can be picky on fuel pressure. All I've ever had liked it under 3psi.

While the sputter could be unrelated forcing a little extra fuel into hot chambers could cause this. The fact that they include a regulator and advise using it should tell you something right there. Beating a dead horse with the VW referance, but they originally came with a fuel shut off solenoid on the stock carbs. Webers have been used on probably more VW's than any thing else. I ran dual 34ICT's and a 32/36 Progressive and both worked better with the regulator. Same deal on oldest son's 6 cyl Jeep with the Weber 32/36. Doesn't take long to try it.

ill buy some extra hose and try it, out cant hurt to try it like you said. im up for trying anything that makes my cruising experience better i appreciate any help or info.

i hooked it up and it worked better than i thought actually, runs even smoother and dont have as choppy of an idle. as far as the idle speed screw i set it to ear since i dont have a tach to go off of, can put more pics on later if you guys want

oh and p.s. it didnt spudder i will see after the cruise in if it gets any better

well its official the car runs better with three pounds goin to the weber and i was the only inline six at that show, wich i got alot of looks thanks explorer for making me try the regulater out :thanks: next is headers and a mild cam
