We now have several new exhaust products. From our new 304 Stainless Steel headers, which we haven't even listed on our website yet, to new exhaust Starter Kits that bolt up to our dual out headers. The starter kits include: header hook-ups, Y or X pipe (single or dual - respectively), intermediate pipes, and are offered in Aluminized or Stainless steel. You supply the muffler(s), which could be stock, Flow-masters, or even Cherry Bombs. As for the tail pipes, you can use stock V8 tail pipes, or select an option to add Aluminized or Stainless tail pipes to the kit.

We also have four new high performance exhaust kits, which include everything you need, and come in a variety of pipe diameters. They are offered in Aluminized and Stainless steel, Single or Dual, with Turbo Mufflers or Dual Resonators (same system that was offered by Ford for the early GT K-code Mustangs). Below is the dual out K-code exhaust system. The complete kit runs $409.00 with 2" pipes.

Here's a new product page that explains what we offer.

And a tech page that explains how to maintain your exhaust system.

I've added most of the product info to the website, but I'm still working on the options and pricing. Hopefully I'll have it all in by this weekend. YES, I've been busy....

Here's our new header. This is the actual prototype, so it looks a little rough.

The new headers have a slip connection, so the lower pipes can be adjusted and fine tuned to your specific application. It also makes them easier to install, remove for service, or you can add an oxygen sensor bung at a later date. I may even stock a few pipes with the bung already installed, and offer them as an option. Finally, it makes them easier to ship (smaller box).

if those are rough looking, i can't imagine what the finished product will look like

and i can't bear the thought of doing it, but i'll assume these can be JetHot coated?

edit: also, is there any possibility of doing one of those Stainless starter kits with the hookups for a previous header you've sold? i've got the dual out with the flange on each outlet, and i'd really love to be able to just bolt this up

For apperanace, stainless looks great when polished. I doubt Steerling ceramic could match it. However, if your trying to reduce under hood temps, ceramic is the only way to go. Stainless headers actually give off more heat. I guess I say, it depends on the application. If its for a daily driver, I'd coat them. If its for a show car (or trailer queen) I'd go pollished, or chrome. I have the option to have them chrome plated, but haven't decided yet? I may do a few and see how they sell.

Hey Mike,
those all look great! I guess I will be calling you this week to add afew more things to my list to you of what I want to get!!!

Thanks,
Dj

I hate you...I shoulda waited!

Looks awesome though.

One question, have you done any test fitting on the convertibles? I know that was the issue with my install since they have an extra steel plate between the seat pans under the drive shaft.

This has come at just about the right time for me - as long as a kit will fit a falcon round body convertible.

Let me know if you need a car as a test mule!

Glad I ordered mine in August when you were had the special pricing for the stainless. looks like they will be worth the wait. 4 weeks and counting

Here's a video, comparing the Arvinodes with and without the X-pipe. For my taste, they are a bit loud, so I'd probably go with the turbo mufflers. But Mustang_Geezer said the Arvinodes sounded really nice, almost like the Hipo 289s. The Arvinrode system without the X-pipe is real buzzy. It's amazing how much better it sounds with the X-pipe. However it still gets a that buzzy sound at higher RPMs. The owner of Waldron thinks Doug should have went with 2" pipes, rather than 2.25", as that would have given him a little more back pressure and probably eliminated the buzz completely. However, Doug prefered larger pipes, as he more concerned with track times, than sound. Personally, I would have went with 2" pipes, then put cut-outs in front of the first set of mufflers. Or maybe 2.25" intermediate pipes, then the cut-outs, then drop down to 2" for the rest of the system. That would give him the best sound for street use, but allow him to open up the exhaust at the track. However, that's just my opinion. He's trying different combinations to see which setup gives him the best times. His next run will be without the over-axel pipes, so they exit in front of the rear wheels, like his old Flowmaster system.

I'm sure we'll get more videos after a few systems get installed.

Or you could order the starter kit and V8 tail pipes, and use a muffler like this, which has cut-outs built right into the muffler. Pretty cool....

Is it safe to say that the last pic is the finished product? If so I'll be eagerly awaiting my header package with gasket and studs :)

Will the new headers fit 250? I like the idea of slip-on lower pipes; they look like they can easily be modified to fit around the 250.

I don't know, I haven't test fit them on a 250ci yet, but I'm hoping they will. If not, we'll make one that does. I have an old set of discontinued Hookers that I plan to modifiy and use for a pattern.

As soon as these new headers are ready to go, I'll buy a set and fit a 250. If there's a problem, I'm thinking instead of the lower pipes side by side that they stack one on top of the other as long as 654 outlet is not too close to the bell housing. There's got to be a competent muffler shop around here that can handle that. MercuryMarc mentioned a place... have to find that post. My old set of Hookers didn't fit my last '66 Ranchero, but are the sweet set up in Gene's Maverick. I bent single out header to fit my last 250/T5 combo, but cracked the ear off the back of number six exhaust flange. Not looking forward to that agian, so I'll take the risk of trying out these new headers with the slip on lower pipes on the new 250/AOD combo going in my '67 Ranchero. Stock for now, but I'd like to dust off that tri-power again.

By the way, I really like the idea of starter kits, clamp ons, x-overs, slip-on, strap-on, etc. which is awesome for all us DIY'ers. Thanks,

Any word on the fitment of these pipes with a 250? I think they are going to be my only option for putting a 250 in a Bronco.

I was about to buy a set and try them out, but it clearly states on classicinline's site that they do not fit a low mount 200 or 250, which gave me cold feet so I didn't buy then. Unfortunately, the money quickly vanished someplace esle, set of tires. sorry

Still don't know if they'll fit a 250ci. I have a block, but no bell housing. Once I find one, I can mock it up and see if they clear, or if I need to make adjustments to the lower pipes. I might have some time Saturday, to check out our local bone yards.
