All Small Six New Issues With My Build

This relates to all small sixes
Update on the mini starter I purchased from RobMC Performance. As i said in a earlier post it did fit well with good clearance but upon an attempt to start the car last time the starter came apart. The shop removed the starter and found that the gear on the shaft broke in half. They noticed that there was a hole in the shaft like where it was drilled for a pin to go thru the gear and the starter shaft but there was never a pin in place. My shop mechanic and owner called RobMC and spoke with one of the owners and explained what happened. He told them that this had happen before. RobMC said they don't put a pin thru the gear to the shaft instead it's glued on and they tried to suggest it was the shops fault for improper installation. My shop mechanic and shop owner couldn't get anywhere with this company. So lesson learned and now I have a $332.00 Door Stop!
I don't recommend this company and can only say BUYER BEWARE!!!

Y not DIY
Y not fix it

. . .?...

Only way I could think to fix it would be to replace the gear and where would I find a replacement gear?

Call or e mail Robbmc yourself and kindly ask for a replacement .
I have heard only good things about them. There are other venders that sell that style starter which is the lightest and smallest.
