im workin on my 4L ED & want an after market management system, can any1 recommend some with price and power stats?

hey
depends on budget and what you want what you have done etc
i dont think there is a plug and play one apart from the heltech one for saloon cars.
as for others haltec, wolf, motec,
it depends on budget

ive got a quote for an rb30 for 1600 dyno tuned and instaled.

the computer was an ems 44something these things are cheap $995 alone and have all the features like closed loop barometric correction and
very good resolution in both ignition and fuel tables.
this thing is also rock stable.
i saw a wold3d on the dyno and the timing hovered around for some reason.
microtechs are meant to be good but dont have closed loop and have to be reprogramed if you want to change the ignition sys or want to use it on another vehicle or change injector imp. important if you want to get a decent price for it should you decide to sell it.

my mind is made up though. if your in melb i could give you the addres of the tunner. if not any will do jus t make sure thei've got a good repp

i got extractors,2&1/2 exhaust ect,wanting cam upgrades,possile blower later,thanx

hey
might wanna go to australian ford forums and check it out over there as they have acess to jim mock (builds 200rwkw falcon 6) on the forums.
but they dont use a new computer they they just up the fuel pressure from 150kw up.
but id say give jim mock a ring and see what he says but haltec or wolf whould do ya id say.
if you have a few contacts and wanna do it ya self you could allways use a ac delco com as there easy to re burn handle boost etc

do the cam...... but port the head a must.

i ported mine and let me tell you they are far from good.
with this id change the intake. do yourself the favour.

Why get rid of the factory system?? Get a chip upgrade from someone like chiptorque. They should be able to make one to your specifications and it will be a heap cheaper (more reliable too??) than any of the aftermarket boxes. And, if you have an auto you have to use the factory ecu.
