. If you want a blue valve cover then you can re-paint your engine (so it matches ). I have never done it before but because of the room in the engine compartment of the I6 it would be fairly easy. Just remember to properly mask the areas not to be painted. Chrome does not dissipate heat very fast so that is why I would not choose a chrome valve cover. As xtaxi said, the intake is part of the engine so that will be the same color as the block, head, and valve cover (if not chrome, of course). How inclined are you and your husband mechanically? Some simple ways to wake up the I6 engine and allow it to breathe is a nice exhaust system (FSPP header and dual exhaust) with a 2bbl carburetor. If you install a header you must install a port divider. The port divider is available at Clifford Performance. I have done the above modifications to my I6 and it is MUCH different than when I first got it. Click on my signature picture to see pictures of my 1965 Mustang. There are no pictures off the 2bbl carburetor upgrade because it is a recent project that is still getting the bugs worked out. Never hesitate to ask a question. It is better to ask questions than to not ask questions and have poor results.
