I've heard v8 radiators are the way to go. Does anyone have any suggestions on this. In the NPD magazine they have Modine radiators. Since I live in Ohio, very near to the plant, would they be a good route to go? Thanks, guys.

Inlet and outlet are too big. I bought a three row radiator for my six for $115, and it works great, though I had to use a shorter fan spacer. You should be able to get a three row radiator with the correct fittings for no more than a bent 8 unit.

same here, I also went with a flex fan. had to modify it a little to fit between the hoses.

three row are the best IMO it helps keep the .040 bore cooled down in my mustang during the 100 degree weather.

I am putting a flex fan on my after rebuild. I have had no problems keeping cool in miami, but I have no a/c

which I want....

the 6 cylinder 3-row will work great for you. My problem is now my car runs too cold during the winter, so I barely have any heat. I have to block off part of my radiator so I can make the car warm up more.

The 3-row works up here in Colorado - so well, in fact, that I have to block off half of it in the winter (when the temperature looks like my checkbook balance) just to get the thermostat to open!

In the summer, my electric fan never comes on now. It used to come on at most summertime stoplites with the brand new 2-row I first installed, using the FoMoCo flex fan. First I changed it to a clutch fan, which improved the top end HP noticeably as it moved more air at stoplights, but with the A/C on those triple-digit days, it wasn't enough - hence the electric adder.

Now, the electric one is just added weight! I used the 3-row from a 1980 T-Bird with towing package, by Modine. It's a crossflow, so I'm not sure how that will work in an early Mustang.
