hey everyone just joined the website. im so glad i found this site, it has alot of useful information. I have a 65 mustang with 200 engine which i think is all stock no mods on it. My only question is sometimes when i start the car my fuel pump leaks pretty fast and i let it run for awhile and it stops. its leak around the fuel pump not the lines. is there a filter I should be changing or should i buy a new fuel pump. any advice would be appreciated thank you.

I would check the fuel filter (brass/copper colored piece screwed into your carburetor) I dont think a clogged fuel filter would be the culprit tho so you might look into a new pump. Oil leaks, you can deal with, fuel leaks, well...lets just say we dont want anything goin BOOM.

Had similar problem.. Autozone part number E8016S is the fuel pump part number..
They had it in stock and will set you back about 45 bucks.

Good luck, and welcome to a great site.
