When I found this site browsing one night my reaction was OH BOY!! I'm not the lone I6er in a world of v8ers. Even more exciting was that all the folks seemed so friendly and knowledgeble.

So I thought, I'll post a question I've puzzled with for some time and see what I get.
Regrettfully, I've received only 1 reply.
So tell me, what am I doing wrong? Not enough specific/technical info, not enough info for someone to grap hold of and come up with some idea brainstorms, just flat too boring a question?

Your feedback will be appreciated and respected.

did you ever check your timing? :?: And if so did it change anything?

Well, Stump, maybe you have us all stumped. :D
Seriously, why don't you post some more info about your ride, and maybe repost your question. Take a look at my sig and other, and you'll see that you can find out a lot about us just from looking at our signatures. In addition, flesh out your profile; you never know when a neighbor will see that you live just down the road.

This has been the topic of many, many, many conversations....
I am one of the ones who has run into problems with vibrations.
I have spent the better part of two years isolating my own various sounds...
Here are a few links to some of the issues we have tried.

I agree we need to know more about the "Exact" information on your rebuild and setup.... please give us more information and you will definitely get the help, but be prepared it may not be as easy as, go out and pull this or fix that... it may take some time and patience to find the vibration... also there is just some inherant vibration with these cars.

Here are the links....

As you will see the vibration with the C4 is something we have been working on for a long time and have found various reasons and little solutions.

I have realized that there are only a hand full of great answers from a handfull of knowlegeable people on this website, most of the people here are like me somewhat new to the classic car game and inline sixes, we have alot of questions and they have the right answers. I have never seen threads that go on with 20, 30 , 40 answers like other forums,

just my 2 cents,

mike

I still ask questions like the new guys and have been working on my six for a couple of years now.

right now in the middle of a re-wire and loving it.

8) thats because on other forums people start with one subject, and then the thread gets hijacked on to several others.

I believe the potentual of a site like this is enormous. If with a small amount of knowledge someone like myself or others can throw out an idea or a suggestion based on what you know and some genius can occasionally turn it into something marvelous, then its worthwhile. But this is not for everone.
One thing I have noticed from time to time and that is that ocasionally some poor person who just wants a simple answer from someone on something fairly simple occasionally has some trouble getting it. And occasionally they dont at all. Maybe its that no one knows the answer or maybe??? Sorry I cant say? Its a great forum all the same.

I must have missed your previous post, let me go take a look at it.

BTW, welcome to Fordsix. This place is singlehandedly responsible (good or bad is yet to be determined) for me keeping the I6 over the 302. Thanks guys (I really mean that).
