nitro methane

has anyone tried it natural or turbocharged, has anyone experimented with the vac ports on the carb spacer and log intake water injection, what about if someone added a very small amount of desil fuel through some sort of injection mechanism what would happen. any strange experiments out there

8) unless you are going to run an alcohol fueled motor, do not run nitromethane. that stuff is very hard on engines. i was helping a guy with his fuel altered many years ago, and at the strip one day he popped a blower sending it 200ft into the air because an intake valve hung open for a fraction of an instant at full song. looked like a roman candle going up.

as for diesel, a small amount in your gasoline, no more than about 4% will lube the valves, but the engine will also smoke a bit in day to day driving. i used that mix many years ago, early 80's when the feds outlawed leaded gas in cars. these days you dont need the additional lubrication.

im running high octane fuel in my 170 i get 91 and add another oct booster the best 2 i have used is lucas oct booster and nos oct booster with nitro methane i know i prob has less than 1% but i like to experiment on my 170 to learn more about the performance capabilities to apply them to my 200 which will be an all out drag motor with turbo

8) E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. it is designed as an environmentally friendly motor fuel, though the reality is not as claimed. one thing with E85, unless you are running fuel injector with a flex fuel sensor, you run either gasoline or E85 you cannot interchange the fuels.

8) since you are building a fuel hungry engine anyway, build it to run E85. that would get you an octane rating of about 100 without having to worry about the tax man nailing you for using an illegal fuel.
