Ok I'm stumpped on this one!! I have a 67 200 with a holley replacement carb 19?? and a non Load-O-Matic distributor. I have adjusted the carb to the best of my abillities. I have messed with the timing had it anywere from tdc to 10. Checked for any vac leaks. Ran 96 octain gas and still nothing! I have pentronix with a stock coil also..If I'm anything less than wot I have a miss at wot it's great pulls like a bat outa hell.Off idle in gear it stumbles. Heres what I'm thinking
1 Replace the old 40 some year old dizzy with a new one
2 Re jett the carb and do another rebuild on it
3 Just get a new holley 350 carb
tell me if you have any sugestions on how to fix this problem. I realy need to fix it before I start getting the turbo setup together. Thanks

Could the miss be from poor fuel delivery....?

Read your plugs.

Give more info. Is your carb a 1 or 2V? Does is miss under a load? Can you pull each wire one at a time (with engine running) and have each wire pulled effect the idle?

Let us know more.

I think i got it mostly figured out. I fiddle farted around with ignition a bit ( hipo coil messed with the timing modified the pentronix unit regaped plugs) it ran alittle better but not quite right so then i swapped out my carb for a knowns good one from a 144 and that did alot better. It still stumbles off idle but at a steady speed its nice. I think its time to step up to a new carb which one i dont know yet.I'm still going to swap out dizzy's for a referb stocker or going to a duraspark setup.
