Ofenhauser Adapter Question

Can someone with an Ofenhauser 3 1bbl adapter tell me how thick the manifold is? A dimension from the cast iron log to the carburetor mounting surface.
Thanks,
Ken

not a simple question, the top of OEM log intake has multiple planes and heights, Offy adapter has to mate to milled planes and center OEM carb port.

here's a few pics of late model head version:

. . . . .

have fun

O.K. I see the question was a misleading question, how about the thickness of the thinest mounting pad for the carburetor? I am trying to build an adapter for 2 bbls and need this dimension, because Ofenhauser managed to make this work.
Thanks,
Ken

Are you building 2bbl adapter ?. ' measured the late model "large log" Offy adappter in pics:

Front to rear Ports:

Nominally :

Front = @ 1-7/16" thick alum 1-1/2" o-ringed port. ( 4 fasteners)

Center = @ 1-1/2" thick alum / 1-3/4" Port - pass-thru to OEM manifold .

Rear = @ 1-3/16" thick alum / 1-1/2" o-ringed port. ( 4 fasteners)

... note: the OEM log is not flat front to rear to compensate for engine angle... front "pad " on different "plane" from rear, (afaik)...

have fun,

...I'm working on a 2Bbl plenum adapter for Offy type 3-Port using 2 X 4 " box tubing plenum, also considering similar for boosted application.

Thanks Powerband,
Yes, I am building a 3-2bbl adapter, I want to make it similar to the Ofenhauser.
The height dimensions are needed to help keep the carbs and air cleaners under the stock hood.
Thanks again for the information.

,,, :oops: -- specs on casting in previous post were wrong, not sure why I had those on file, more accurate Offy late model tri-power casting specs:

Nominally :

Front = @ 1-1/16" thick alum 1-1/2" o-ringed port. ( 4 fasteners)

Center = @ 1-3/16" thick alum / 1-3/4" Port - pass-thru to OEM manifold .

Rear = @ 1-7/16" thick alum / 1-1/2" o-ringed port. ( 4 fasteners)

... now if three 4412's could fit the log, :wink: ...

have fun,
