put the 200 in (by myself)- took 2 hours. went down to O'reilly's and bought tune up stuff(plugs, cap, wires, and button) and a new duraspark box ($16) went to the junkyard, got dizzy to box harness($5). while i was at it went back to O'rielly's and got an electric fuel pump and clear inline filter. Finally got throttle pedal and carb compatible (12 hours LOL) put in the battery and it turned over 3 times before starting. Spent another day in spare time getting over a trash in fuel tank problem. Got it running long enough to set the timing. still running off straight headers but it sounds GREAT. useing just the 2 bbl for now -have the 2 webers sitting on the shelf till i get some miles on the build (used expandable freeze plugs to close off the intake runners).
Very pleased with the sound and feel so far. Then i found i had used the ballast resistor wire for a hot source for the 12volt accel coil and the duraspark -expect it to run real well after i put 12 volts to everything. Runs real well off 6 -ought to do better with 12- LOL! Throttle response so far seems intense and instantaneous. Soon as i get a few more bugs killed will drive to the muffler shop to connect the headers to the side pipes-- all the FSPP parts seem great. Ohh and it is a whole dollar more for a new durasprk box then i was qouted for a used one.

Congrat's !!

Glad to hear everything went so well. Always those bugs to chase.

I drove the '66 this past week and found a leak in the heater core.

Like I reeeaaally wanted to spend 3 hours doing that.
