We pulled the old engine out of the car yesterday, and today I got a good look at it. I was planning on reusing the pan on the new engine, but it's VERY rusty, and has a couple of DEEP gouges in it. So, now once again I'm in search of a 'must have' part.
Can anybody tell me which years besides 64 1/2 - 66 will fit on a 65 Mustang? Will the pan from a Falcon fit? I do know that the later Fox body cars had a rear sump and are worthless to me.
I looked on eBay, and once again if I had a bent 8 there would be all sorts of choices. Not so for the straight six though. This engine should turn out nice with alot of tuning and help from you guys, but there's alot of blood being spilled along the way.
