Oil temp, water temp sensors

Got the 200 back from the machine shop. Assembling all the bolt on stuf, ie. fuel pump, water pump, oil pump , etc. As I have dumped a fortune into this engine, I would like to run oil preasure and water temp gauges vs. the idiot lights. Are the sensors different if I run gauges ? I was going to go pick up some new ones. Also, anybody have any suggestions on the gauges, not sure if I want to swap out the whole display panel assy.

if you are looking to just observe stuff for breakin go get a cheapy gauge set (biglots, walmart, etc) and clamp it up under the dash. the senders are different but will come with the gauges. I am running autometer phantoms in my car (had them for about 5 years now) and have been happy. only problem is in the winter sometimes they will fog up....but my window and doors seals are shot so not suprised

the temp sender is already a variable resister, as both idiot light panels, and 5-gauge panels had temp gauges...the oil pressure sender is different, and readily available. I'd wait till you decide on your gauge, then get the compatible sender.
