I have heard that 302 windsor valves can be used in these heads and that with a valve grind and the seats recut, that they will work. I want to do this swap to get the oversize 1.74", 1.49" valve sizes. I am in the middle of rebuilding the head at the moment and was after a bit more flow for some horsepower. I am getting Unleaded seats installed aswell and new valve guides. As far as I know the stem size is the same, but the head of the valve needs machining. So will they fit, or is there a better option?
