I've been scowering the internet looking for a oz 250 2v head. How much should I expect to pay for one? How much would it take to get one shipped from Australia? I'd love one of the new aluminum heads but for the moment it's out of reach.

Don't forget, this is for a PRE delivery sale, he wants the payment in 5 days, but you could get the head in 6-8 weeks. Also, shipping to freight station nearest you. I waited 3 months and never got the head finally asked for my money back, which He did. Still, a deal if you don't mind waiting for it.

Another member has one for sale in Australia, asking about $500 for the whole motor. You could get it shipped by OzHemi, but shipping costs would be local freight in Oz, then sea freight, then US domestic freight. I can't say whether it's ever been apart for work, but it looks pretty original. Head is a D1 code, manifold a D2 code.

I will be in Oz for April and May actually and plan to load a container while there, but it wouldn't be arriving until June (since I won't be back here any sooner of course  )

Just holler if I can be of any help

Are the Oz 200/250 the same as the US ones, other than the removable intake? It seems like someone mentioned the Oz 200 has a taller deck with longer rods. Might make it worthwhile getting the whole motor from Oz.

I'd apreciate all the help I can get! How much would all the shipping and freight be for an engine or head/ intake? I'm currently living in Corpus Christi, TX if that helps any.

The motor is a little different. You always need an Aussie bellhousing to suit the chosen trans, timing set, damper and crank bearings. That's about the guts of it.

Compared to a US 250, it's possible to buy a ready-made multiple keyway timing set.

Well, I don't do any interstate shipping (on either end) so you would have to handle that part of it.. (the container shipping keeps me busy enough  )

To land a head and intake, figure around $125. For a complete engine, around $400. Again that is only Melbourne to LA...rest would be up to you.

I have no idea what a head would cost, that was frieght assuming he bought the head himself..

If I outlayed and bought the head myself, I would get it gone through in Oz (crack tested, etc) and just sell it here myself probably..
