I'm looking at the OZ cylinder head for 675.00, does the head come assembled with valves, springs etc? i'm also asumming the intake manifold is not included, i also was looking at the aluminum head but there is no more than a picture, maybe something is wrong with my puter.

that was a wasted post! i just looked at fssp website duh....my only other question is are these heads a direct bolt -on? can i use it on a 170 or a 200? with stock pushrods without having to run to a machine shop? i also plan on installing a Pinto IFS in my 1964 falcon wagon, is there a set of headers that will clear the crossmember?maybe something like a set of 'shory' headers for a 200? and by installing IFS will i have to use a dual sump oil pan on a 200? i had to put an oil pan from a 1985 mustang GT on my 289 that i had in my 1965 Falcon because of IFS crossmember,or being a rear-sump on a 200 am i okay?

Yes, they are a direct bolt-on to both the 170 and the 200. No special pushrods are required, as long as you have the correct type for the rocker assembly used (non-adj or adjustable). But the OZ cast heads are becoming nearly impossible to locate now days. Thus the reason FSPP is designing a new aluminum head, which we hope will be ready by years end. It is currently in the hands of one of the leading cylinder head designers. He states the the new head design should have no problem supporting 400+ HP, naturally asperaited. Full drawings are to be completed by early to mid september. Once they are done, things should move along at a quick pace.

Not sure if headers will fit with the IFS, but the Pacemakers would be your best shot. If not, I can have a custom set welded but they would be expensive for a one off.

The alum. head is good for how many HP? I thought they were good for 300 HP but now I hear 400 HP. Hubba Hubba Hubba Vroom.
By the way, I'm still in Iraq and still turning wrenches. I have just a little bit more time before I can come home. Also I have an assignment to Montana. I leave just a few weeks after I get back from Iraq. Any of you I6ers in Montana??

Is it going to be a long waiting list on the cylinder heads you are going offer? I hope not. I ask alot of questions about inline sixes because i never used to mess with them. and i have no spare parts and no idea what can be mixed or matched (i did cut up a 65 falcon 4dr last fall but only for patterns and i sold the 66,000 mile drivetrain..i dunno what i was thinkin

Ted, your thinking about the Argie head. The new FSPP is being designed from scratch and I'm told by the designer that it will support 400HP NA.

Chicken, there will be no waiting list. We will be producing 200 heads and intakes on the first run.

Mike, there you go again, making me drool all over my laptop....stop it man I'm going to short this thing out and possibly electrocute myself!!

that is NICE mustang! i want that engine in my Falcon wagon! i bet more than 1 5.0 or Z28 got their backsides handed to them after messing with that!

Mike,
Any idea on what the prices will be at? I need to know how long I'll have to be eating Ramen

No idea on the prices yet, but we hope to offer them for somewhere around a grand. Maybe a bit more, but still to far off to say for sure. I should have more answers in a month or so, once the research and design work is done.

i just got my aussie 250 2V today...08-04-05 . and if you think you can buy one for $675.00 just read this...1 full set up(cylinder head, intake, header, carb) $1000.00 2 shipping for aussie to US $250.00 3 west coast port fees...$125.00 4 customs broker...$210.00 5 port fees at final des. $50.00 That is what you will be looking too pay for a true aussie head set up. if AZ can get it done on this side of the big pond for $1000.00 that is and dam good price.

WOW I had this bad feeling you were keeping the price from us because it was going to be utrageous amd you didnt want to scare someone... too bad they were out earlier... I havent even payed attention to the posts about them for I expected something closer to 2 grand or more just because 1. they are custom made, 2 for inline 6's, and 3 because they are for inline 6's.... hmmm gotta look back now...

this is not a set up from AZ coupe! ... i have a cast iron original australian 250 i got off of ebay. i just list the reality of the cost too being a original from AU. aposed too waiting for AZ to MANUFACTURE a alloy head here in the states. the costs too cast a form , has a very large price !!!!!!!! the final cost of AZ head could be higher then he is stated. he will need ALOT of support not too mention buyers too keep the costs down for everybody.

Ok, I give up.... What is he trying to say???

I don't know when I will be looking at that head for my setup, but if it is all that it sounds like it is going to be...I will definitely want one. The main thing is it will be made here and parts will be readily available. :D

I was figuring on paying in the area of 1,000 to 1,500 dollars for everything anyways,i'll just wait for the aluminum heads,to me,thats not too bad of a price,i've paid twice that for a set of heads for one my 289's which if i had shopped around would not have cost me that much, if being able to switch intakes, carbs, better flow and more HP for my 200 six costs over a grand, fine i'll do it.using that setup eliminates alot of headaches and trips to a machine shop to modify a stock head.most machine shops would see that as 'custom' work and charge accordingly,

thats anothe thing I thought of the fact that if you buy a pari of aluminum headers for a small block it will run you about he same...

the heads i bought cost 2,100 by the time they were bolted on to the 289,and i still had'nt even bought an intake, that was a few years ago, stuff is cheaper now but i figure the aluminum head for a 200 with an intake is a good buy for around a grand

The sad thing is I am looking to replace some cracked heads on my old Panhead. Looking at $1000 to $1800 for a pair. Whenever I rebuild the old Harley, I get to thinking it would be easier and cheaper if I had one of those V-8 Chevy powered Boss Hoss cycles.
