Patriot Side Exhaust

I have a 67 mustang with a 200 and I was thinking about putting a set of patriot side exhaust pipes on (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=156706&prmenbr=361). Does anyone have any idea how this may sound? Would it be too high pitch and harsh with a 200?

Those are nice side pipes.
I think they are illegal in my state (Massachusetts), otherwise I probably would consider them

I believe those will sound realy throaty and nice however to keep them sounding nice at higher speeds of rpm. i owuld defintly put a cam in if u do this upgrade. good luck and post a sound clip im intersted in what it will sound like..

Jim, I live in Florida and it seems like you can get away with anything around here. I see people driving all the time with all their exhaust hacked off. I'd be in trouble if I lived in California . I ordered the pipes so I'll try to post a recodring as soon as I get them on.

Got the pipes in yesterday. Honestly, I was a little disappointed in the quality. Some of the pipes were out of round and one had a ding on the end making fitment a headache. The chrome was peeling in two places also, but they are in hidden areas. Nevertheless, it wasn't too hard getting it all together. Haven't installed them on the mustang yet due to all the rain. Hopefully these tropical storms will give it a rest soon.

I got the exhaust on. I'm still working out all the tubing connections to the manifold, but my semi-put together setup sounded not too bad. Kinda sounds like a big bad V-8 at idle. Got leaks though that are probably affecting the sound significantly. Ground clearance is looking like it may be an issue, but the brackets are sticking out an extra inch I'd say atleast, so I think I'll be alright after doing some grinding. I'll try to make a recording once I have all the exhaust connected properly.
