Hi,

I've just picked up a Clifford finned valvecover, without provision for the PCV valve for my engine in my 63 Falcon, (221 Australian engine). I wont butcher the valvecover so - is it ok to take a pipe from the block somewhere for crankcase ventilation ? There is a freeze plug in the location where the early motors had the vent tube. Should I make an adapter to fit in that hole and pipe it from there and use it as a PCV ???? Any advice will help thanks

thanks in advance

Bob

Check out the Edelschlock "Elite" series of breathers. Something that may be OK to butcher the valve cover for. I would use a breather on the cover, and then a catch can/PCV off the plugged front port you refer to.

Cheers, Adam.

my old edelbrock cover has a hole in the side with a gommet for the pcv. but it's on the opposite side of the air cleaner. if you put it on the side close to the air cleaner it might be hidden.

I found this cap on summits website:
