Pertronix?

So I ordered the Pertronix ignition for my 63futura, I have been reading up on these forums, and I have heard mentioned that when I install it I need to do something different with the vacuum line? Is this true? If so, what exactly do I have to do?

Not true.
If you have a Spark Control Valve (SCV) that is operational now you leave it operational after.
The confusion probably comes from the upgrade process. The SCV is not exactly a performance oriented distributor and a lot of people will upgrade the distributor from the early SCV ('60-67) style distributor up to a newer '68+ style and that necessitates changing the vacuum source.

As for putting in a Petronix (I have never done such a thing) from what I've read you pull out your existing points, bolt in the petronix, done!
