Yeah, I've already converted to 12v w/a pertronix ignitor,2-1bbl. offy manifold, offy valve cover,12v alternator,2" drop front springs, I've repaired the 2 rust spots at the front fenders and painted the engine compartment.
I plan on painting it tutone- black cherry pearl on the bottom and ivory on the top. I've got a set of full moon hubcaps, and plan on driving down to tiajauna for the tuck & roll interior. Down the road I want to install side lake pipes w/cut-out operated from drivers seat & flamethrowers.
I've got a cut vinyl decal for the back window
FLAMETHROWER EQUIPPED
stay back twenty feet
Basiclly I want a ride like I had in the Early seventies-not the same, but I'm using memories of a '56 olds, '37 ford, and a '50 ford that i've owned and kick myself for having sold. Oh well, kids come first ('til theyr'e grown and moved away) Now that I've got some disposable income again, I'm going to enjoy myself.

very cool! I'm planning on the trip to TJ for my interior as well. I'd like to have my chrome done first though. Should I use TJ for that too?

Sweet 8) I had a 55 Customline four-door with 272 and Fordomatic that was the EXACT same color as yours. Called her "Annie Blue". I bought her when I as in the Marines stationed in Tennesee back in the 70's. This brings back a lot of memories :) Thanks for posting the photos.

My daughter just scanned in a photo of me and Annie Blue that my wife took when we were dating about 25 years ago.

No- oarnge county plating does the best in socal.Competitive prices and all the big names use them.

HEY LAZY JW- Nice picture- looks just like mine- customline and paint match, but mine has the original hubcaps. Theyr'e getting harder to find (the cars) but the price hasn't been driven up like the '55 chevies.
Plus I have the advantage of NOT owning another '55,'56'57 chev w/ a crate motor....boring!

Keefer,
Does yer '55 automobile have the same clutch linkage as a F-100 ?
You know, with the horse shoe that's bolted to the frame vert.....and
the adjustment rod goes into a hole in the side of the horse shoe?
If so...here's my question, is there a big washer behind the bolthead that holds the horse shoe to the frame? All I see is a bolt head and my pedals are sticky & out of adjustment. Figgered the washer would pull the horseshoe away from the brake side and free things up, but there ain't no washer on my rig.
Unless it was that "TING!" I heard on the pavement on the way home a few weeks ago.
Thanks for your assist........Don

Kevin,
Yassuh! THass the ticket! Great BIG washer holding that horseshoe to the bracket on the right (in the photo). Mine's completely gone, must've caught a split somehow and zanged its way off on the highway. MANY thanks for the photo.
Gonna be an easy fix, once I git the bolt broke loose. Take care, pard.......Don

Take your time getting that bolt out. It's a coarse threaded shoulder bolt and there aren't a lot of threads in the U-shaped equalizer bar. The one on my complete truck had the bolt cross-threaded. I cleaned up the threads but I'll need to keep an eye on it. Another bar I got in a box of parts had no threads. They were destroyed. There was a cobbled up sleeve/bushing over a regular bolt and the setup didn't work very well.
