plan for my fuel system

first off, i'll be using a 390 holley on my 200. i have a new fuel tank for my bronco from bcbroncos and it has a low pressure electric pump in the tank. my plan is to run 3/8" hard line along the frame rail. i'll use braided line from the tank to the hard line, hard line to the fuel filter, and from the filter to the carb.

my question is, should i run any type of pressure regulator? if so, what type, where should it go, and what pressure should it be set at?

It depends on the pump specs. Most pumps (and systems) are much happier with a return style regulator, for some its required. 'low pressure' could be for a TBI system which typically runs in the 10-20 lb range. That would kill most carbs. Most carbs are pretty happy in the 3lb range.

8) the low pressure in tank pumps usually put out about 6-8psi, so yes you do want to run a regulator, and as indicated set it as 4.5psi. also as indicated, electric pumps tend to like return lines where possible. this is done to prevent a "dead head" that lets pressure build up and overcome the carb needle seal. if you use a good after market regulator with dual outlets, use one outlet to run a return line back to the tank. you can make the return line smaller if you like, 1/4" is fine, 5/16" will also do nicely.
